This turned out to be a negative experience and a waste of everyone's time. I know several people that work for Capital One. They are somewhat happy and suggested I apply so, I did. The entire process took about 5 months - only because the recruiter is not professional and claimed that the hiring manager and other associates had "scheduling conflicts" for 3 months. The recruiter also has difficulty staying in touch through the process and forming e-mails that are understandable. I passed all of the tests and ultimately was flown to VA to interview with the managers and did so for several hours. At the end of the day, I was told how much they liked me, that my "experience is just what they need" and that I "would enjoy working for Capital One." There was very strong indication from the managers that I had the job. I followed-up with the recruiter after the interview. She wrote to me 3 weeks later and apologized for not writing sooner, that the team decided it wasn't a good "fit" and that if any other opportunities come available, should would immediately contact me. The position is again posted and has been open since October.
