Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Capital One (Richmond, VA) em abr. de 2010

      Entrevista

Originally applied for a position in McLean, VA. Several weeks later I received a call from their recruiter informing me that the McLean position was filled, but would I be interested in a similar one in Richmond, VA. We set up a 1:1 phone interview. The recruiter took copious notes, relayed them back to the hiring manager. A couple of days passed and then the recruiter told me that they wanted me to take the personality test, if I passed that, then I'd take a skills test. The personality test was obnoxious to the point where I realized a quarter of the way in, that the company wasn't for me. Needless to say, I "failed" the personality test. I knew as I was taking it that I wasn't giving them the right answers. Overall, the process is asinine. Any company that relies upon a web based program to handle their recruitment is missing the point in human capital management.

      Entrevista

I applied to this position posted online and was contacted by an internal recruiter within a week of my submission. The recruiter was very easy to speak with, I expressed I had previously started to interview with Capitol One (approx 2007) and got through several layers of tests but couldn't pass the complicated math/fiancial projections test. Recruiter reassured me that now the math test has been adjusted to align with the job type (ex. Marketing) so I agreed to discuss further. He asked for us to set a time where we could have a 30 minute conversation. The following week we spoke again and he was asking questions that were (assumption) provided by the group manager. He went through the list, I had no problem answering them then he let me ask some questions. At this level, he couldn't answer very much because he just didn't know. I asked how strong my resume was against the other candidates (15 yrs experience) he said they had some other candidates that had twice my experience. He said this was a new position and they were looking for more of a senior-type of Director than their standard Director qualifications. Did not hear anything further, no follow up to include to tell me I was no longer in consideration.
