Entrevista
Brief phone screening they invite 20 candidates in for a group interview which takes about 2 hours. They are looking for 2 things passion for food and heart for people. They had us do arts and crafts and present a "resume" I used this to really briefly tell them about my experience and how I love food. Then we did scenarios with a partner to solve customer service questions. We did a food identification quiz of 10 items it was very hard with unique items but just try your best to smell, taste, touch items and really show interest in the items.
After the group interview they called me for a 1 on 1 with the manager which was a more standard 30 minute interview. They wouldn't negotiate pay at all, job offer was take it or leave.

The interview process here is very different. There is a brief phone screening and then your told to come in for a group interview of about 15 people. There was about 6 managers in a panel in front watching us. Don't be nervous, the panel participates and interacts with the interviewees rather than just sitting there and were all very nice. The group was about 2 hours, so it was pretty long, but I found it enjoyable for an interview. First they told us to recreate our resume using craft supplies. Next, we had to identify 12 food items on a table. I only got 5 right, but unless you apply to work in food demos or something this part didn't really matter. Next, we had to solve a customer service scenario in pairs of 2. We then were each given a food item and had to do a 30 second "commercial" on why someone should buy this item. Don't just talk about the item. Be creative. They are mostly looking for creative, outgoing people to join the team. I left the group interview and about 5 minutes later I got called by the meat market asking for a 1 on 1. The one on one was not really an interview. It was basically signing forms, telling me what to expect in the position, salary, etc.
