Application:
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 month. I interviewed at Colgate-Palmolive (Petaling Jaya) in December 2018.
Interview:
The overall interview experience is a disappointment and waste of time!
The interview hold two rounds within one day. First round is conducted by Head of the department that you are applying to and second round is conducted by Human Resource representative.
The interview was very fast and straightforward. Not even interested at self-introduction. There were 4 questions asked (mix of general and short case study). Each question asked was only allowed to answer with little words (etc. 3 words only), as they do not bother and want to waste their time to know more from me by trying to elaborate my points and reasons further.
After interview:
The confirmation process take a very long time (approximately 2-3 weeks) from them. The worst part is, whether my application process is still actively running / successful or not actively running anymore / officially rejected, they still do not bother much after the interview as they do not really care to reply me. Considering that, I went on to chase them for an answer which then they started to realize and get back to me as soon as possible. After 2-3 weeks of waiting, I finally received an answer with ''unsuccessful getting the offer.
I personally felt that the hiring manager doesn’t really respect candidate interest in joining their organization and candidate' effort in trying to express their knowledge to them. Also, the HR officers are not profession and no responsibility at all in update / inform candidate with an answer after a long period.
