HR SCREENING CALL: quite basic checks against CV, Consulting experience, Excel/financial modelling skills, salary expectations, relocation preferences (so not much prep required, confidence helps). ONLINE ASSESSMENTS: PRACTICE! CASE STUDY: Fill in the blanks in spreadsheet of Property portfolio of PE Investor, calculating costs & returns, etc. foreign currency exchanges, a few intentional errors as trick questions, basic arithmetic but lots of data, create/complete charts for presentation and finally SWOT analysis with recommendations. (Tip: Don't waste time on formatting as I did.) COMPETENCY INTERVIEW: Started with intros, also asked to walk thru CV, motivation for role, complex project experience, some other typical questions about balancing quality vs risk and cost vs schedule, managing difficult people, adapting to cultural diversity, etc. Most of the questions were generic with several hypothetical scenarios of how I would react with clients. For e.g. How would you present a project report to a client if you had only 5 minutes in the middle of meetings? No particularly specific questions about my experience, even as follow-ups (possibly because they didn't know what to ask as they had different backgrounds).
