Heard that there were 4 rounds, 1- technical, 2-technical in depth, 3- versant, 4- managerial/hr....here is what happened in my case- I got a call from a consultancy mentioning that this position is for Java support project. I reached there by 1.30 pm after long long waiting I got a chance to attend my first round at 6.30 pm that is after multiple follow ups my resume was taken, there were candidates who are waiting for their second round till 7 pm in the evening who has attended their first round around 10am in the morning. basically the interview panel was not present at all. why should they call when they aren't ready to take interviews or take people for the open positions.
okay after long waiting atleast I got a chance to attend the first round, where others are still waiting and many of them left before attending itself. Here is what my experience is - I was almost unconcious, the interviewer asked to explain about myself, I tried to explain something after that he asked to explain OOPS concepts with the example of the conference room in which we were sitting, i tried to explain too. he wanted more from me but with lot of patience i tried to answer his questions. The interview lasted for 1.5hr. He continued to question me until i said am not aware of what he is asking. May be that is what he was expecting from me since 1.5hr. Finally after loosing my patience i asked him whether if i am in or out, bcoz i have been waiting for 6hrs to attend the first round. He said he will let me know in few mins, as soon as i came back a person came and said i can leave for the day. I felt happy that am not IN bcoz i really hate that person who took the interview. i heard from a co-candidate that he didnt shortlist a single person in the first round. I wonder is he crack or something..??
good thing is that Delloite guys have really taken care about the food bcoz people were waiting for long hours.Nice company i hope, but this interviewer has spoiled its fame in my view.
