      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa ESPN (Bristol, CT).

      Entrevista

First, I received a phone call from HR basically talking a little about the position, confirming my interest, and explaining that I will have an online interview in the coming weeks. Shortly after that call, I received an email from a different HR rep with the list of times for an online interview that spanned over the next two weeks. I went for one of the first times because I prefer to get it over with. This online interview was with two managers and a supervisor of the department, production, that I was interviewing for. (It was supposed to include two more people but not that big of a deal). This interview was a lot of talk about what the position entails, what is required, the day-to-day responsibilities etc, plus they asked the standard, "tell us about yourself." Then I got to ask my questions. After, they mentioned it might take up to another two weeks to complete the interview process if I were to continue. Up to this point, it had already been 3 weeks since I got the initial phone call. Thankfully, I got an email within 1 week asking me to continue to the final step in their interview process which included a "comms assessment" and again offered times for the following two weeks. I again asked for one of the first days. (That will make it about 1 month since the initial phone call). The last interview was also an online interview, and it was with a current employee in the department who used to have the position I was applying for. Even though the email from HR said it included a "comms assessment," it just felt like the previous interview of me talking about myself, them talking about the position, and me asking questions. There was no assessment given, at least not to my knowledge, and I wonder if it's because I was the first interview that the person forgot about the assessment. Regardless, I did send a thank you email right after. I waited two weeks since then and didn't hear back, no call, no email. Mind you, there were 6 time slots for the last interview that spanned 2 weeks. But I didn't know if that meant there are 6 others asked to move forward and one time slot is for each person, or if there were only a couple of us and just given multiple options. Since I didn't hear back for those two weeks, I sent a follow up email two days after the last interview time slot was offered. I didn't hear back for ANOTHER two weeks and so I sent a follow up email again. And some time after that second follow up email, I saw that the job was re-posted. After all of those interviews and all of that time, they didn't even have the courtesy to email me back. No "sorry we went with someone else," no "thank you for your time," nothing.
