I filled an application right before graduation. A representative of EJ called me to ask if I was still interested in becoming a FA. Then she verified all my demographic and gave me detailed information of the entire process. At that point she sent me document for me to filled and sign and fax back and set me up with a representative frfom the FA Hiring Department. The interview lasted about 40 minutes a week after the first contact. The gentlement was very friendly. He went over a series of questions related to your employment background and education, and reason for wanting to become a FA. He gave me feeback towards the end of the interview or screening. He said that in a few days he will contact me to find out if I will continue in the process. I have an appointment of Friday for an interview with a hiring manager. So, far the process is moving faster and smoother than I expected.

Interview process first consists of numerous dinner events, all very laid back where you get to learn more about the company and the advisors in the region, and they get to learn more about you. If you keep getting invited back to dinners, consider it progress in the interview process. Honestly, the best, most effective interview process.

it's a series of interviews with people in the office then a full-day of simulating the role of the advisor where you're receiving calls from clients and team mates as well as receiving emails. As a career-changer, this was the part of the interview phase where I realized Edward Jones wasn't the right start to my career as a financial advisor and ended up going somewhere that invested in my growth rather than a "sink or swim" type of place.
