talked to boss. he was a nice guy. didnt tell me a lot. offered me the job a week later. we talked about the future of technology. where its going and the importance of the job

The job posting gave very little information. It didn't say what department the position was in, which confused me since Encompass deals with such a broad array of projects. I applied online and received a call about 3 weeks later for an interview. The interview is scheduled the following week. I arrive at the interview and the interviewer starts asking me all of these questions about the military. I am thrown off because I don't know anything about the military. The position didn't say anything like "military background preferred" and the questions he asks could only be understood by someone who had actually served. The posting only talked about general skills needed to be a good editor (which I had), and now it is looking like a knowledge of the military is more important than being a good editor. To top it off, the interviewer asks if HR told me that the work hours are from 10 pm to 9 am. I tell him no, and he says "Ugh! I keep telling them to mention that and they won't!". Although I'm ready to just walk out because it is clear that I and this job clearly do not match, I then have to take a written test that also asks a bunch of military questions. It shows a picture of a gun and I have to tell what kind it is. It describes a soldier and I have tell what rank he is.... stuff that I clearly dont' know and don't pretend to know. Overall, the interview was a complete waste of my time and the interviewer's time. If the job posting would have given more information, I wouldn't have even applied to the job.
