I had an initial screening with a recruiter, and the conversation was going well until visa requirements came up. I clarified that I already meet all the right-to-work requirements and do not need visa sponsorship. The recruiter mentioned they would confirm with HR and follow up, but I never heard back.
I even sent a follow-up message to check in, but unfortunately, I was completely ghosted. It was disappointing, especially because the company itself seems very interesting. The process suggested a lack of knowledge around right-to-work entitlements, and it would have been more professional to at least provide an update or let me know if I wasn’t moving forward.
