I recently participated in Essential Energy's recruitment panel and had some observations that I'd like to share. It seemed that internal candidates may have had an advantage in the selection process, which could limit opportunities for external candidates to join the team. I also found the evaluation criteria to be somewhat unclear, with the panel emphasising the importance of providing 'better answers' and being 'more suitable' without providing specific examples or guidelines.
Additionally, I noticed that some members of the panel may not have had the same level of technical expertise as the role required, which could have impacted their ability to assess candidates' qualifications and experience. I understand that recruitment panels can be subjective, but I hope that Essential Energy will consider providing more transparency and clarity in their evaluation process to ensure that all candidates have an equal opportunity to succeed.

Quick and easy. No psychometric questions. Direct regarding my previous exp and apprising me of the kind of culture there is in the company. Had one call with the HR head and another face to face interview with the Hiring manager. Again another informal interview with the HR head.
