I recently had the unfortunate experience of participating in the interview process with Ford, and I must say it was nothing short of disappointing and unprofessional. From start to finish, the entire ordeal left me questioning the company's respect for candidates' time and effort. This was with Ford Pro. To begin with, I was initially contacted by Ford for an interview, which initially seemed like a promising opportunity. After going through the rounds of interviews and investing my time and energy in preparing for each one, I received a rejection notice. Of course, I accepted the decision and moved on, assuming that the process had concluded. However, to my surprise, I received a second contact from Ford not long after, with the explanation that they were interested in giving me another chance and wanted me to participate in a final round of interviews. Feeling a mix of confusion and curiosity, I decided to go along with it, believing that they had some genuine interest in my candidacy. I eagerly went through the final round, taking time out of my schedule to prepare and present myself in the best possible light. But imagine my shock when, after investing even more time and effort, I received a call from the hiring manager delivering the news that they had decided to hire someone internally for the position. I couldn't help but feel that I had been led on and used as a mere backup option, only to be discarded once an internal candidate was available. This entire experience left me with a sour taste in my mouth. The lack of transparency, communication, and consideration for candidates' time is astounding. It's evident that Ford failed to manage their hiring process efficiently and professionally. If they had known all along that an internal candidate was the preferred choice, they should have communicated that from the beginning rather than stringing me along. In conclusion, my interactions with Ford's interview process have been nothing short of disheartening. I feel that I've wasted my time, energy, and optimism on an organization that clearly doesn't value the candidates who participate in their process. I would strongly caution anyone considering applying to Ford to think twice before investing their time and effort in an interview process that may very well turn out to be a futile endeavor.
