      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 meses. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa GLG (New York, NY).

      Entrevista

I completed a phone interview and two video interviews before interviewing in person at the NYC office in 1-on-1 interviews with several members of the GLG HR team. Each person with whom I interviewed (from phone to in-person) asked the same resume-based questions, which started to feel like a waste of time considering they could have shared notes or joined into earlier calls. I completed a timed technical assignment during the in-person interview, which was closely related to the work that the role would be doing. Communication throughout the process overall was spotty. There were long gaps between communication, from the time I applied to the time I was first contacted and then after completing each interview step. The timelines messaged at the end of each interview weren't honored, and I had to follow-up each time to get an update about next steps. I know the team that I was interviewing with was short-staffed at the time, so I hope my interview experience was a result of that rather than being the norm. The primary interviewers told me more than once that they were concerned about hiring someone from out of state, which raised flags for me about potential hiring biases. That said, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that the final decision was made based off of fairer factors such as technical or cultural fit.
