Recursos Humanos organizó una entrevista de selección, la persona ni siquiera sabía para qué puesto había solicitado y me pidió que confirmara el nombre del puesto antes de que comenzara la entrevista. Al día siguiente recibí una llamada de otra persona de Recursos Humanos, preguntándome si podía estar disponible en 4 horas para una entrevista con el gerente de contratación, ejerciendo mucha presión diciendo que el gerente no volvería a estar disponible en las próximas semanas. Con muy poco tiempo para prepararme, la entrevista con el gerente de contratación estuvo bien, me preguntó algunas cosas sobre mi experiencia y habilidades. En general me sorprendió que una empresa que es bastante grande, parece funcionar como una empresa pequeña, además RH ha dejado una muy mala impresión, parecen muy desorganizados.

Entrevista
Company is in the process of being acquired by a private Swedish equity firm. This is a French company that moved corporate to Switzerland and established a US presence. A clinical development VP stated that they are in the process of completely rewriting their SOPs because the existing ones have a heavy European influence which do not reflect US operations. There is resistance to this effort as the hiring manager for this particular role is French and works in Switzerland. During the interview the hiring manager misinterpreted something I said as I used a US term and it did not bode well with him. A couple of my colleagues at different companies have had issues with working with the French because of this. When I met with the hiring manager in the morning, he said that he was going to have me speak with two other people from the executive team. But that never happened. In fact, the last person I spoke with walked out and I was left in the conference room alone with no follow-up. So I walked out to the security desk, attempted to contact the hiring manager and HR, but to no avail. So I left to catch my return home flight. Regarding my expense reimbursement, it took them 5 weeks to send me a check. Each time I checked on the status, I was given a different reason for the delay. I finally had to notify the BBB. As far as compensation for the position itself, this company is way below market. Same goes for titles. This role was listed as a "manager" position; however, in comparison with the US industry, this is really an associate director level role. Perhaps one reason why this role has not been filled in over a year.

With so many concerns about this company, I don't recall any of the questions except one. I do recall that they were very basic questions. This one was about the worst work environment I've been in. The only thing that came to mind was the open concept work environment. See below for my answer.
