Everything progressed quickly from two phone interviews to a full panel inperson. They mostly focused what was on my resume. I demonstrated knowledge of equipment in their lab, and got a tour of the engineering department for the first hour and a half. The first two people kept telling me what a great place this is to work. The last hour and a half was with a team of engineers. They mostly focused on what my resume listed, and had me answer questions, and drawing examples on the white board. I know I got most of the questions correct. I asked for honest feed back and they only had compliments to give me. I had taken a couple days of work off to make time for these interviews. I left feeling like I got the job. The following week I got an automated email saying they would not hire me. I asked for feedback and was only told to keep applying for other positions. This position is still open, and I have not been contacted about any other openings since. I know I am qualified to work here, but it is so hard to get in this company. I have heard it is not what you know, but who you know that gets you a job here.I wish they would have been honest and not wasted my time. This company has a bad reputation for being overly picky, getting your hopes up, and nepotism. If you don't have family or friends there, don't bother to apply.
