They were a half hour late to our scheduled call and casually apologized ("I'm sorry, man"). They asked me questions about my work experience that was irrelevant to the position I had applied. I had to follow up multiple times to get an answer about next steps, which I never received outside of an automated request to schedule a call with the Hiring Manager. The HM was clearly very smart and informed but I only had a half hour and was unable to build a rapport with them. I was nervous and probably sounded like I didn't know what I was doing as I tried to answer quickly in order to avoid running out of time and in the end I didn't even have time to ask questions. It felt like a losing situation from the beginning. I also had to follow up with the recruiter three times before I received an automated rejection email. I would rate this experience as the poorest that I've dealt with.
