Interview experince at GD. I contacted a senior VP in GD when I saw a opening that will be a good fit for me. VP was extremely gracious, and forwareded my resume to a recruiter, recruiter interview went well and she setup a interview with the hiring manager. The HM interview was interesting, few questions about my background, but somehow got the feeling that she was not interested in interviewing me at all, I felt there was no interest. Anyhow few background questions, and then a java problem, while working on the problem I was trying to talk it out, but the answer I got was "finish whichever way you want". I started a different way but resolved it a different way, but was very close to completing it when we ran out of time. I said I will send the solution in 20mins which I did. Next day recruiter sent email, that they will go with other candidates. The interviewer was definitely in a hurry to wrap things up and not interested in interviewing me, if that was the case why even setup time and waste my time. There is no point in that. I read a lot about GD's interviewing transparency but found it missing.
