This was an interview on the IT end, not R&D. They were not prepared on their end, and the interviewer hadn't even read my resume prior to the interview. I was interviewing for a role in operations, something I hadn't done in a few years, and had stressed to the HR rep when first contacted. The interview consisted of minute details about database administration (certification style questions), things one could easily look up in docs. I was quite rusty, so it came as no surprise that we didn't move forward.
