Very convoluted hiring process and unprepared hiring manager, waste of candidates time
They are looking for Business analysts and Programmers at the price tag of an agent for client customer service, why would anyone spend time like that working in the wrong job is beyond me.
Very vague job description in job ad and expects you to know the entire google ecosystem.
Asked irrelevant questions throughout the interview and rather one sided experience than making it comfortable for both parties.
Biased and thought provoking approach mechanisms, specially the hiring manager from Singapore.
These employees need retraining in people skills, as of now they are incompetent to deal with applications or applicants.
Wasted 24 hours of my time preparing for an unclear position (thats right! 24 hours notice for interviews), only to find out I lacked product knowledge when in fact during the interview I demonstrated multiple examples of rich product knowledge.
Very complacent hiring manager/ agent who takes no regard and respect for candidates time.
A very robotic experience, and such outdated questioning and answering practices. Felt like I was interviewing in the 70’s
Feel sorry for these people. Working for Google is a great opportunity but this GPSE process or department lacked all the qualities what Google represents, having talked to their hiring manager it became apparent to me.
I gladly declined their hiring process and practices as the role itself was for a short term contract.
Product knowledge can be comparable to wider similar service providers outside Google or maybe its just this team that requires you to memorise all the product knowledge for Google products beforehand, who cares if you slack at work because product knowledge is everything for this team.
My advice - please stop disrespecting people and be open minded to possibilities of an outside world other than google ego.
