Entrevista
I interviewed with Google Cloud professional services team. I am not sure if my experience was a unique to cloud or professional services team or Google in general has a new norm. All the noise about hiring committee, capturing detailed everything, seeking clarification and assumptions just was not how my experience went.
If anything I have learnt through this process, it is that it all boils down to who is your interviewer and what their pre-conceived notions they have of you (if any) or whatever their personal objectives are.
I had virtual onsite and RRK interview was supposed to be 45 mins, The interviewer joined 10 mins late and finished in 15 mins that included interruptions by his kids twice. When he did talk, he just did not seems interested. Did not let me put forward my assumptions and let me complete what I wanted to say. No questions or cross questions asked that would have helped clarify what I know or don't know. It was all one way communication that too with major bumps (by not even letting me complete). The "Vague" feedback I got just did not align well with how the interview went. I just wasnt my day yet.
I wish the interviewers at Google understand the heart and soul a candidate puts into preparing for their one shot instead of making it look like a huge power game. Why make someone do an interview if they are just not interested? It just makes me lose hope on fair game Google portrays their hiring process to be.
May be grapes are sour for me this time.

Recruiter reached out to me, we had an initial conversation, then I had to take this online behavioural assessment which was a requirement to get to the first round, which is the manager round. Once I passed that, I was scheduled for my first round with the manager.
Yes, this role is technical, but don’t be like me, who focused all their energy on perfecting technical knowledge of GCP.
Your first round will be a bunch of scenario based customer facing questions. Focus on understanding enough to talk fluently about network design in GCP, VPC, Subnet, PSA, PSC. And how to manage customer expectations
Onprem to cloud connection solutions, vpn, interconnect.
Good luck and I hope you experience the joy of landing this role that I hoped for.

The recruiting process was managed by Randstad on behalf of Google HR and it was a horrible experience. So much so that I'll never apply to Google again. Four interviews total; initial role-related knowledge, general cognitive ability, role-related knowledge 2 & googleyness/leadership. The last three interviews involved questions completely out of left field which had nothing to do with the actual role. I’ve been hired by and worked at Amazon Web Services before so I know how to handle difficult interviews, but this experience was a total joke…a complete waste of 3.5 hrs.

The first round interview was with someone on the team based in a different state. They asked a range of technical scenarios to gauge my understanding of the relevant technologies required for the role on the Google cloud team
