Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 dia. Fui entrevistado pela Google em out. de 2010
Entrevista
In response to my application, I was sent a questionnaire by email (within a couple of days, I think). I was busy, so it took me about a week to complete and send it back. Again, within a day or two, I got a call back and an interview was scheduled.
The person scheduling the interview lacked polish, I thought, but the hiring manager was quite pleasant. Here are some of the questions I remember:
Linux
How do you stop a process in Linux? What does Ctrl-C actually do?
What is ln? What is the difference between a soft and a hard link?
Networking
What is a Default Gateway?
How does a tcp connection start up?
What do these http codes stand for 200? 401? 500?
Tell me about a difficult case you resolved.

Had a recruiter called in and asked to fill in an questionnaire. Questionnaire was technical and customer support oriented ( Detailed HTTP, DNS, sample tcpdump output, what happens when u type google.com in a browser, and customer support related questions.) Recruiter asked about various other details and availability. she had a technical phone interview setup later that week. It was one of the manager from the Support group. Phone interview was more of technical, background discussion and customer support related experience. overall it was a good experience though questions were easy enough, i was not thoroughly prepared for questions. This was supposed to be a Technical Screening phone interview later there would have been a in depth technical phone interview and an onsite interview. But didnt clear the screening technical phone interview, will try sometime later......
