Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Handshake (San Francisco, CA) em abr. de 2017
Entrevista
FIrst Interview was a standard HR talk, questions about my experience, skills etc. Then some information about their company, as usual.
The second interview was with their Lead iOS Developer, I was asked to do an online coding in some website form. Of course, I didn't remember all the syntax by heart, but I think I got the idea and came to a logic on how to solve it, then solved it. Nevertheless, I got a refusal afterwards. When I asked why I got an answer that they didn't like my coding skills, because they need me "to write code correctly, efficiently and quickly". I know that I didn't solve just like that in a matter of seconds, but I got the logic right and I solved it. Maybe it wasn't an ideal solution, but still, considering it's an interview and I didn't google stuff and didn't have time to think about it a lot. Anyway, it is what it is, I'll leave it as is.

Two strings are given. And a dictionary of similar words. The task is to have a function that compares two strings and gives you an answer if they're similar or not. They are similar if the words are identical or have the same meaning based on the given array.

The interviewer does not know how to conduct an interview, nor to evaluate a candidate. When asked "What classes would you need for an app displaying listings" - he actually expected describing UIViewController , UITableView , UITableViewCell on coderpad...
My general impression is that they got the wrong person working there.
Yet , I got a standard rejection email saying my iOS background is not the strongest match for the role. I agree.
