I handled it professionally by keeping our interactions focused on the project, and less on whether I like the individual's behavior or not. I also tried to keep our conversations in the common channel so our advisor can jump in whenever needed. At the end of the day, we're just here to discover new science and contribute to the scientific community. We do not have to be friends or interact with each other outside of work.
