This creates a shared understanding of goal, shared commitment to achieve the goal and ensures team agreements stay intact as teams are more inclined to respect and honor this since they were part of decision making. Helping individuals understand how their respective contributions creates and supports the bigger program goal and how this helps organization achieve its strategic objectives motivates people intrinsically. Also, i follow lead by example mindset. If I want teams to follow punctuality and discipline, I must practise and showcase that to teams myself and the rest will follow. VUCA- Voltatility, Uncertainity, complexity, Ambiguity are the living realities of Businesses today. The best way is to practice hypothesis driven empirical project management. What I mean is create a certain hypothesis based on your knowledge of the project needs (only a small piece), work on it, share it with Business/ customer base, gather feedback, reflect on it, and adapt your future hypothesis and execution tactics based on the same. This hypothesis driven iterative, incremental inspect & adapt cycles will enable to reduce ambiguity as we proceed through validating at small regular frequent intervals what we are producing. Will ensure in the end right product is generated and delivered for the least possible expense with added advantage of early ROI realization should business choose.
