I have described a workable interface with two buttons, however the issue was that instead of concentrating on the interface i needed first to understand the requirements and context better. For example, maybe the remote control can support gestures, or the TV supports kinect-like abilities. I did ask myself those questions, but the way the question was asked led me to believe that i can just assume that i only have two buttons
