It was phone call with recruiter then hiring manager. Recruiter was easy. Basically looking for keywords that matched the JD. Hiring manager (from R&D, Comp. Bio stuff) went details into particular projects. At the end of the interview, they told me they already have candidates they were considering for hiring. So that part was pretty frustrating. Why do the dance, if you know you are going to hire someone else.

The process began with a recruiter screen, followed by hiring manager rounds, after which I received an onsite interview invitation. The onsite round included a dinner with three senior-level scientists from the team on the evening before the interview. The onsite interview consisted of a one-hour presentation, followed by multiple 1:1 and panel interviews, each lasting about 30 minutes. The onsite schedule ran from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, after which I flew back.
