      Candidatei-me de outra forma. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Joslin Rhodes.

      Entrevista

      Completely rude and patronising. You go through a series of stages as if you are applying for JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs. When you finally get to interview stage it is dealt with like an interrogation. I walked in trying to be friendly, saying “Hi everyone, how are you doing?” to get a blunt reply of “Hi, sit down anywhere”. I thought, okay here we go. After that everything I was saying was given a reply as if I was talking stupid. They asked why I want to be a planner, I said “I want to look back on my career and know I’ve helped people and I would love to help people achieve their financial dreams” to which they said “Okay… but what is it about financial advice that makes you want to do it” - I thought, well… I’ve just said it. They have absolutely no respect and are always trying to give a response to throw you off what you’re saying. Like I said, an interrogation. To be quite frank, it’s not a wonder they have the employee reviews they do on Glassdoor and Indeed. If they speak to potential employees the way they do, imagine how they speak to their actual employees.

      Why financial advice? Why here? Bespoke questions depending on what was said at previous stages. Then constant questions and repeated/same questions by different individuals depending on your replies.

      We are sorry that you were not successful with your application. Joslin Rhodes has a long history of offering opportunities for local people to train in a rewarding profession and have helped many hundreds of local people build a career as a Financial Planner or Paraplanner through our Academy over the last 20 years. Our recruitment and assessment process is specifically designed around candidates’ skills and abilities, rather than their work history, to ensure that everyone gets a chance to showcase their abilities. We run recruitment and assessment events throughout the year to give as many people as possible the chance to learn about Financial Planning and decide whether to pursue an application with us. Our investment in local people is significant, and the recruitment process is designed to ensure that such investment is directed to the most deserving candidates. This means that the number of new recruits each year is modest and dovetails with the natural staff turnover, which, as you would expect is much lower than average and was reflected in our recent award for the 'Best Financial Adviser to Work For'. We understand your disappointment at not being offered a position and wish you every success on your career journey.
