Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Just Web Agency (Orlando, FL).
Entrevista
Initial screening call with a recruiter, then a 1:1 interview with the CEO, then a final round interview with the same recruiter, the CEO, and a woman only mysteriously known as "the Billing Department". All communication was done through Indeed's messaging portal, all interviews done through Google Meet.
The company is opening a new office in Orlando, FL, but doesn't have any of the usual benefits you'd expect: health insurance (which is reportedly on the horizon, but they didn't offer any context on that), retirement benefits only kick in after one year (and also was not elaborated on - probably because they don't know yet), PTO was only 10 days of vacation and 3 days of sick time. The offered rate was also $28/hour, which is far below industry average.
The recruiter told me that they'd laid off the United States office before and had recently decided to start rehiring in the States again. When I asked the CEO what was different this time, I got the answer that, "the market is different".
Overall, my impression of this place is that it's your typical burn-and-churn agency: pay as little as possible, offer clients the bare minimum, et cetera. Leadership here just seems like they're trying to operate as cheaply as possible without any acknowledgement of what that impacts long-term.

Let's say you bring on a new client. Where would you start as far as SEO capabilities?

2-step interview (HR, team lead and leadership) with fairly common sense questions. Expected to go through a standard script with all the "where do you see yourself in 5 years" fluff, instead had a decent open dialog.

1. Technicalities (regarding stack, timezones, toolset);
2. 2-3 in-depth questions regarding the position (methodology, hypothetic situations);
The rest was basically a dialog focused on my previous experience and approach.
