Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela KPMG (Petaling Jaya) em mar. de 2026

      Entrevista

I was invited for an interview with KPMG Petaling Jaya, but the experience was honestly disappointing. They kept me waiting for almost 15 minutes. During the interview, the interviewer mentioned there was a huge gap between my expected salary and what they could offer. I had already provided my payslip beforehand (my expectation is based on my previous salary). This should have been communicated clearly during the initial stage with the talent acquisition team. If my expected salary is too high, do not ask me to come for interview. They also brought up my age, saying I fall into a different level range. This was confusing because I had already mentioned my age during the initial screening and was told there was no specific age range. The PIC during the initial screening even told me the maximum age would be 40. Later, they said it might be a different department that doesnt have specific age range. Was there no proper internal communication between acquisition team and the line manager? I tried to maintain my pace and stay professional, but I was already feel demotivated. It got so bad that I couldn’t even answer properly anymore — I was just rambling and going off track. I even had to ask them directly why I was invited for the interview in the first place. What made it worse was the lack of professionalism during the session. At certain points when I was answering, the interviewers will looked at each other and laughed. Am I a clown? Even if my answers doesnt meet their standards, they shouldn't have laugh. One of them also seemed uninterested from the beginning. I've gone for many interviews and this is the worst. The interviewers are not professional. Overall, it felt like a waste of time. If there are clear salary expectations or level/age considerations, it would be more respectful to communicate that upfront instead of calling candidates in.
