I was contacted via email by the Human Resources Manager to set up a phone interview. After the phone interview, I was sent a link to complete an assessment. I was told I did well on my assessment and was scheduled to interview with the manager of a restaurant (not the one I would be working in). The interview went well. I was again contacted by HR to set up a meeting the next day with a Director of Operations. That interview also went well. After the interview I was directed to a website to complete a background check since they wanted to extend me an offer. The background check went fine. I called a couple of days later and was told that they thought they would need someone for that position but it turns out they reconsidered. I was then told that they would hold on to my resume for future openings. The entire process took about a month.

I was not looking for a new job but was called by a head hunter. They discussed a management position with a local steakhouse and all the great benefits and a work/life balance. After several weeks and phone interviews I met the GM and Area Director for an interview at the restaurant location. I was under the impression that I was interviewing for a FOH management position. During the interview they brought up my previous kitchen experience and when all was said and done the offer cam through as the Culinary Manager.
