Skype interview. Most horrible interview experience ever. I was clearly not what they were looking for, but I feel like if they'd read my CV they might have been able to tell that. First off, she was 35 minutes late. Her first question was "tell me about yourself", so I chatted about myself and how much I love fashion and I have a genuine interest in luxury fashion for about 1 minute 30 seconds, after I was clearly finished I smiled at her and she purposefully left a very long and awkward silence and then she laughed at me and said "is that it?". After every question she basically told me, without saying the actual words, that my answers were terrible and the interview was not going well. She asked "why do you want to work here", so I went on about how I'm passionate about fashion, how I love LV as a well respected heritage brand, etc. etc. and she said "no that doesn't answer my question though, why do you want to work here?" I don't know what she wanted me to say cause she kept asking me that. I think if you want to get hired here you'd need to have some weird alterior motive to getting hired there like, want to be a designer or something some day. I was just hoping to represent the company selling their product, as I love fashion and I actually really enjoy being in a customer service role, but apparently this isn't enough. She left a lot of long awkward silences on purpose, laughed at me a few times and made no secret of the fact the interview wasn't going well. She said "are you sure you're interested in this position?" and I said no and hung up on her cause it was so horrible. If the interview isn't going well you shouldn't make the person feel humiliated and uncomfortable, every interview I've ever heard of, the interviewee is made to feel comfortable and as if they gave it their best shot, even if they did horribly and are never contacted again. She really made it seem like she wanted me to feel like it was a joke I even applied to the company. I know luxury fashion companies have a reputation for being pretentious and snobby but I thought that was just a stereotype and since I am well educated, have experience in fashion retail and a genuine passion for fashion, sales and customer service that I might have had a shot, especially since I was invited to interview, but I definitely did not. Think twice about applying if you don't live and breathe LV and have a big strange alterior aspiration after working there.

Prepared thoroughly, executed confidently, and delivered what I believe was my strongest performance—yet I’ve heard nothing back from LV. An unexpected outcome, and honestly, quite intriguing and still no response.
