Lyst reached out to me so I had a phone conversation explaining what they were looking for, whilst telling me that I would be a good candidate given my experience and ambition. The next part of the process was a take home technical test, which given the early nature of the test I was initially reluctant. However I was reassured me that this test was not just given to anybody and that I was only one of three completing it. I go away and complete the technical test by creating a small mobile shoe app, taking 6 hours of my personal time. I sent this back within 3 days of our initial phone call. After 2 days I receive an email saying the team were really happy with my technical test and they would like to offer me an face to face interview for the role. I confirm my availability and wait for confirmation on their end. I then receive an email rescinding the offer of an interview based on the fact that I lacked the necessary experience. It is very disappointing to be strung along and made to waste so much of my personal time to then be rejected based on criteria that could have been established from my CV.
