      Entrevista

      The first round was a Microsoft Teams screen with the recruiter just going over my resume. The second round was a 3-round, same-day interview loop with the hiring manager and two other Talent Sourcing Managers. These interviews covered experience with relational databases, ability to derive a narrative from a dataset, and experience with talent sourcing. In my defense, the job description was vague. Even when I asked the recruiter and the interviewers, it wasn't made 100% clear what exactly the day-to-day nature of this role would entail. Thought they did say this was a newly-created role, I didn't get the feeling that the specifics of the responsibilities had been entirely ironed out. That said, the first round made it clear to me that I likely wasn't qualified for this job, as the questions were much more technical than I was anticipating. The second and third rounds I felt much better about because I was able to draw on previous experiences. Sadly, it appears it wasn't enough as I didn't receive an offer. That said, I only learned this upon going to the Microsoft Careers site and seeing the status of the application had been moved to "Not Selected". After 2+ weeks of waiting, I wasn't emailed or called with this update. On top of this, I wasn't actually invited to interview until 3-4 weeks after the initial screen. In both cases, I had already sent follow-up emails asking to be kept in the loop. Not a great candidate experience.
