Entrevista
I had two interviews. In the first interview, I had to read a manuscript in one hour. After that hour was up, I had to present the paper and give critical feedback about its content to 3 editors. It kind of felt like a journal club. After that manuscript test, the interview was a bit more traditional where they asked me questions about my background and motivations for working as an editor. In the second interview, they emailed me two manuscripts and I was given a couple hours to read and write reviews on them. The second interview did not involve me speaking with anyone.

After reading this manuscript, would you recommend to send it out for review to potentially publish it in our journal? Why or why not?

Entrevista
Relatively long--application required a writing sample, and the first short-list required another set of editorial examples to get the actual interview. The interview included more editorial exercises, and was actually quite fun as a result. The whole process took about five weeks from submission to finish.

Can you describe two high-impact papers in your field, particularly regarding why you consider them "highly impactful?"

Was contacted by email to set up skype interview.
Skype interview lasting ~30min (general questions about background, research interest, why are you applying for position, etc..). Then was sent 2 manuscripts to read and evaluate. Had to send a written decision for each manuscript 2 hrs later via email (this is very short time to evaluate thoroughly 2 research manuscripts, but it shows how you prioritize, take decision under pressure/with limited time . (I think this is a pretty typical way to conduct editorial interviews).
