STAR method with a 3 person panel. It felt very awkward, dry, and cold. The STAR method, while the questions can be helpful, the framework is very outdated and extremely robotic. Let’s interview candidates like they are human and you value their time.

Quick but challenging. I did a lot of mocks to prepare myself for leadership style questions. Team player attitude, organizational skills, conflict management, more of the usual leadership content. Over all because of the mocks and practicing questions, it went well!

Inexperienced managers rely so heavily on STAR method for answering interview questions that they often reject highly qualified candidates due to scoring lower on a question. Be sure to prepare and study STAR and even if you don't know how to do the job, you'll get it if you score well.
