Everyone was extremely professional and candid. It was obvious to me that there was a concrete and discernible goal from the start, and it put me at ease to know that I wasn't being taken to a dog and pony show. Mike laid out a distinct plan for the position, informing me exactly what I would be getting into and why it was necessary. I understood immediately what the role was, and how it is supposed to fit into the big picture. Chris gave me a very interesting and sufficiently deep technical overview. I got my chances to speak and ask questions where appropriate, and I walked away with a good understanding of the technical layout and technologies involved without getting mired in detail. I had a very enjoyable conversation with Bobby. Passion in what the company does and who NDN is and wants to be came across fluidly, and it was very easy to see that a lot of care goes into engineering the product and that people at NDN are truly proud of what they do. Mimi gave me a very good picture of the culture, and how the process works to find a good fit. We talked at length, not just about where NDN has been and where NDN is going, but how I fit in, and my background, and what my path with the organization could be. Overall, the process has been painless, likely one of the most confident career decisions I've made. All necessary information has been provided to me without having to chase it down, and it shows, to me, that effort at NDN is not wasted on basic tasks: everyone does exactly what they need to do and then some.
