Applied online and was contacted by recruiter for screening. The recruiter was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the role. I was then moved quickly to the hiring manager. After that, I was ghosted. I sent several emails to follow up with recruiting, but never heard back. A few weeks later, I received an auto-generated email saying that, "you were not selected for an interview at this time." Regardless of the outcome, it is completely inconsiderate to not follow up personally with a candidate and inform them of this. This is especially true when the candidate made numerous attempts to close the loop. It is also unprofessional to send a candidate, who again took time to interview and had an interest in the organization, an email stating that you are not going to interview him/her after you did.
