I had an initial call with the recruiter, followed by a take-home assignment. About a week later, I was invited to a technical interview with one of their engineers, where I was asked to fetch data using React and display it in a table. I completed both the assignment (which took 4–5 hours) and the interview successfully. However, I never received any follow-up—no rejection, no feedback, nothing. Given the time and effort invested, the lack of communication felt unprofessional and disappointing. Additionally, I found it confusing that the interview process focused heavily on React, even though the team doesn’t use React in their actual tech stack. The engineer I spoke with even mentioned this during the interview, which made the process feel misaligned and poorly structured.
