      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Oracle (Santa Monica, CA) em fev. de 2022

      Entrevista

Oracle NetSuite, Global Sales Productivity, Operations Project Manager 3 Phone screen with the recruiter. I was 5 minutes late because I was trying to finish up a work meeting with my current employer. She was kind of snippy about my resume saying that I didn’t have my address on it…which is a completely outdated rule since we joined the digital world. And the position was remote so I am not sure why it mattered. She liked my background enough to move me to the first interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager seemed nice at first but I could tell there was a “mean girl” underneath that fake smile. The second interview was with two of the hiring manager’s direct reports and they seemed like robot mean girls. They took turns asking questions off a prepared list and they said my name before asking each question and with Valley Girl voices. And after I answered they said, “thank you for your answer” each time. It was creepy and fake. The final interview required a “presentation” for a panel but it was really more of an assignment that looked like work for the actual job. They wanted me to create template reminders and schedule training classes. They said I would have 48 hours to prepare but the recruiter didn’t send it to me until very late in the evening on the first day so I really only had one night to prepare. No apology for the delay from HR. Just excuses about her “delay send” not working. Then, after I finally got the assignment, I could not login to the assignment because of authentication issues with the account. The hiring manager did not even apologize for the delay and for her mistake in setting up the assignment account. The instructions were vague and it seemed like a high schooler wrote the assignment. I finished the assignment before the interview and explained my assumptions and how I interpreted the instructions for the assignment. Before I even started, the hiring manager said, “Now you had 48 hours to prepare, so let’s start with the presentation”. But that hiring manager knew that I did not have the full 48 hours that other candidates probably got…what a completely unnecessary comment just to throw me off before I started. After the presentation, the panel asked me situational questions and when they were done they did not even offer the chance for me to ask questions. That seemed strange to me. The hiring manager just said, “don’t worry if you don’t hear anything at the end of the week since we will be finishing interviews but one of the recruiters will reach out to you at the beginning of the week.”

      Pergunta 1

First two interviews asked situational questions: What would you do if a stakeholder did not want to communicate with you? How do you prioritize and manage your projects? Tell me about a time where you faced a challenge during a project. FINAL PANEL INTERVIEW FORMAT: Operations Project Presentation, per this document (30 minutes) Situational Questions (30 minutes) Panel Interview (30 minutes) Manager Global Sales Productivity Manager, Global Sales Productivity Total interview time: 1.5 hours OPERATIONS PROJECT PRESENTATION Background Information: One of the biggest asks of the Operations team is ensuring that all reps have a positive and consistent experience when attending any of the Enablement sessions that the GSP team is responsible for leading. This requires strong calendar management and coordination between the different advisors that are delivering content. We need to schedule the following sessions for the week of April 4th: BDR Onboarding – Week 3: SuiteSystems: Deduping Tool – 60min; Led by Leslie (Back up: Andy) Using Competitive Intelligence – 60min Led by Ron (Back up: Donna) Objection Handling – 60min Led by Tom (Back up: Jerry (UK based)) Intro to SuiteCentral – 30min – Led by April (Back up: Ben) Office Hours: Inbound Messaging – 60min; Led by Ben (Back up: Leslie) Office Hours: System Excellence – 60min; Led by Andy (Back up: April Direct/Account Management Onboarding – Week 1 – June New Hires NetSuite Product Training Part 1 – 60min; Led by Donna (Back up: Tom (UK based)) *Direct and AM attend Intro to NetSuite Partners – 60min; Led by Jerry (Back up Ron) *Direct and AM attend Working with your Value-added teams – 60min; Led by Leslie (Back up: Donna) *Direct and AM attend Basic NetSuite Knowledge & Value – 60min; Led by Ron (Back up Andy) *Direct and AM attend Direct/Account Management Onboarding – Week 5 – May New Hires Negotiations 101 – 60min; Led by Tom (Back up Ben) * Direct and AM attend Forecasting – 60min; Led by April (Back up Jerry) *Direct and AM attend Common Upsell Modules – 60min; Led by Ben (Back up Ron) *Direct and AM attend TAL – 60min; Led by Andy (Back up Donna) *Direct only attend Account Plan – 60min; Led by Donna (Back up April) *AM only attend Sales Overlay – 60min; Led by Jerry (Back up Ben) *Direct and AM attend SuiteLeader – Week 3 201 Storytelling – 2hrs; Led by Tom (Back up Leslie) 101 Manager Foundation Part 1 – 5hrs; Led by Ron (Back up Ben) 101 BaseCamp Training – 1hr; Led by Leslie (Back up Andy) The Problem: Step One: Log into this test google calendar: Email: PW: Step Two add the following sessions: All of the sessions listed above with the facilitator/advisor and backup listed in the description. All of GSP uses this calendar to keep track of the sessions that they are responsible for but also for knowing what sessions their colleagues are responsible for and communicating with Sales Managers and Leadership. Step Three: Create reminders for the advisor (and backup) for (1) week prior to the session for them to review the content and prep for the session – Include draft template that would appear in all the reminder descriptions. Step Four: Create reminders for you with a draft communication for each group to send out first thing Monday the 4th to set expectations for the attendees of each track.
