After a few minutes it became apparent my tour was really a rolling interview designed to both put me at ease and to prevent me from using all those stock answers I had been rehearsing.

Lighting - "Meet Tom, he is our expert. Ask him any question you want about Lighting. It went on and on - Audio, Props, Sets, Special Effects, and then finally the office sit down.
By then I was elated to be sitting in that chair ( a scene I had played over and over and dreaded in my mind). My resume was finally in her hand and I was ready to shine. I knew how to answer the questions which were sure to come but no - more torture!

In the end I got the job and four years later I myself got to take a poor unsuspecting applicant on this same emotional roller coaster.
