Echoing the previous review that outlines Pattern's unprofessional hiring process.
I applied for the Director of Digital Marketing and went through 3 different interviews–HR, Head of D2C, and the Miracle Founder. After 3 interviews, they completely ghosted me and stop replying to e-mails. Regardless of how the job market is right now, companies should be held accountable for wasting candidates time and energy.
I'm thankful that I didn't end up making it to the final round where a take-home exercise is expected. This review would be a lot harsher if I dropped another 2-3 hours and another interview before getting Ghosted.
It's a small world in digital marketing and this type of behavior will come back to bite them eventually. If you're looking for a company who respects your time, please second guess applying to Pattern.

I had an initial phone screen with their head of HR and it was positive. From there I had a 45 minute technical meeting with one of the heads of a BU, also positive...
The next step was where it went very poorly. I was given an exercise to do, which was actually 3 different case studies, all encompassing 1) quant analysis of data, 2) creating a narrative/recommendation, and 3) presenting this narrative via PPT to a group of 5 'executives'. These were all completely separate exercises, so hard transitions from one to another within 45 minutes. So we're talking really like 12 minutes on each.
The case studies were time consuming but definitely not rocket science - P&L, creative analysis and then strategy to launch a new brand. Probably a total of 1.5 hours each, plus another hour to compile and make a presentation. So 5.5 hours of total work, and then having to present it in a 45 minute time block to 5 other people, with them asking questions throughout, was obviously not a great idea by the company in terms of interview format. Way too many exercises to expect to be able to present in a short window - so pretty amateurish. Most of the people I was presenting to were doing other things on their computer as well, clearly not listening. Had to rush to get through them all and not able to go deep into any of them, which entirely misses the point of why established companies do case studies.
Worst part was after doing all of that work, they never even followed up - completely ghosted. Immature company, so stay away. They should just have the professionalism to send a decline letter at the minimum.

I just had the initial exploratory conversation with HR and it was a positive experience learning more about the company's short to long term goals. The next steps were to meet with a hiring manager and then present a solution to a problem to the exec team.
