The first round was a phone interview with a person from the acquisition team. After the interview, i received a confirmation that i am proceeding to the next round, which was a technical skills test. Several days after i submitted my responses, i received a confirmation that i am moving to the next round, which includes in person interviews with several members of the team. I was asked to allocate 4 hours of my time and submit availability. After i did that, i did not hear back from the person i was communicating with for more than a week. I followed up several times, updating my availability, but no one got back to me. Several days after my latest attempt to get a reply, I received a generic email from a no-reply address saying that i am not a fit for the position. I followed up with the contact person to get a better sense of their decision, having in mind that i was waiting on the in person interviews date and time confirmation, but she never got back to me.
In my opinion, this conduct is unprofessional, and regardless of the outcome, they should be consistent in communicating with potential candidates.
