Outsourced to karat.
I feel it’s totally waste of time. I requested the recruiter that can I have an interview with the team ra then than outsourced. How come they know and evaluate my skills? The team should evaluate but recruiter denied my request saying team was swamped out for delivery. I just wanted to say that hiring is one of the most important thing. Karat interviewers were not at all helpful and when I was speaking about time and space complexity he was looking at me like a static as if I’m speaking some non sense. I’m not feeling bad that I didn’t move to the next rounds. I am feeling bad that they are not evaluating properly.
recruiter call, then TPS and then onsite. An interviewer called me, she was a young interviewer (i could tell she is inexperienced, the way she was asking me questions on my implementation).
Anyways, she asked me to implement a DFS related question and I asked for some clarification by asking some examples. Once I got clarification, I implemented the solution. It was quick. I was still left with 20 minutes. At that time, she mentioned since we are done early do you have any questions for me? I asked her about the role and in the general company's culture. She was not sure about work or vision (surprisingly she didn't know what company's road map is). We ended up the call after a brief chat. Next week I heard from the recruiter that I didn't meet their technical bar. I was like WTF, she was incompetent. I just hope Pinterest improves their interviewer quality. Google and other big companies don't let any incompetent conduct interviews.
