I was internally referred and invited for online PEAK assessment, which was an utter horror as 1/4 of the questions are structured in an extremely ambiguous way. For instance, they'll ask you to rate how does a particular statement apply to you by selecting agree, strongly agree, disagree, etc. Then the statement is something like this: "I always plan my work, but sometimes I fail to stick to my plans." So the question is, if you select 'agree', are you agreeing to 'I always plan my work', or 'sometimes I fail to stick to my plans'? The reasoning test was fine and I was confident that I did well. Then I was informed that my online test failed. So my question is, how can the HR count on the personality test which might not even be a good gauge of the candidate's characteristics because of the ambiguity of the questions? I sincerely urge the company to rethink about this.
