You don't even get an opportunity if you are not a personal friend of a manager if it's an internal position that you are applying for. The point is once you are in it doesnt matter how qualified you are. Just whether you drink and or hang out with managers.

Schneider Electric attended my college's career fair and I had 2 interviews in person on campus, was then flown to Nashville, TN where the position was located for a set of 3 in person interviews
