Applied online on company website and through the recruiter. After around two weeks got a short 30 minutes phone interview. Standard company knowledge based questions were asked and I was explained what type of product is developed in Galway. What was my current experience and knowledge related in that area. Be prepared for couple HR related questions as well. Couple days later I was invited for a face to face interview. Interviewers were friendly and made me feel very welcome. We started off with couple HR questions like: What was you best achievement in past 12 months, worst decision made, tell me about situation where you had to deal with stressfull situation / employee at work. Couple others, similar to find out how you work and behave with other team members. Then we moved to couple questions related to coding in C language. I was given a sheet with C code and asked to explain what the program does. Questions were based on C strings manipulations, dealing with pointers, dynamic memory, segfaults, cracking passwords techniques. Couple theory questions like what is a volatile keyword in C. Also had a question related to java inheritance and Python syntax. Last part was specific to RTOS and networking. Questions asked on OS were realted to tasks, priorities, and process management. (Deadlock, race, etc.) Networking ones were about difference between authentication and encryption. I was also asked to explain the UART.
