It was more of open ended questions. Describing a problem, for example scoring a list of ads for picking the best one, and asking about the right solution, right algorithm, how to pick features, collect data, how to train, how to evaluate etc. Throughout the process of explaining there were a lot of questions and discussions on the algorithms I picked in terms of their mathematical background, e.g. benefits of generative models, how to train them, optimization algorithm, complexities etc.
