First was a phone call, 1 hour long with the head of the department who decided whether my background and interests aligned with what they were looking for. He told me over the phone he would ask the recruiter to set up the next steps as they were interested. The on site interview was scheduled for about 2 weeks later. Spoke to 6 different people. Most of the questions were based on what I did at my earlier roles or what I learnt in school. First interview was with the head I had spoken to over the phone and a manger who would be my direct supervisor. Then was a lunch interview with an experienced colleague in the same role as I would be in. Next interview was with 2 managers of R&D and Sales as this role would have me closely working with these departments. The last interview was a HR round. I also had to prepare a 20 minute technical presentation that I had to give to the entire interview panel and an additional manager. Got the result a week later that I had got the job!
