The interview process was very straightforward, with clear communication at each stage. It also followed the pattern described on the website (which is always a good thing): no hidden agendas, no surprises, and a very fair review process with individualised feedback.
I was especially impressed with how quickly everything went, and how quickly feedback was given after each stage.

I have come on to leave a review of the process which I havent really done before for any company. The whole process was pretty seamless and I have to say is one of the best I have experienced recently. I got feedback at every stage , in some cases in-between stages. This is very refreshing as alot of tech roles I have applied for the process has been messy and alot of the time radio silence is normal! Mia was great in terms of communication over the whole process
The process looked like below:
1st stage HR screening (remote)
2nd stage tech test take home
3rd stage tech interview / review (remote)
4th stage general interview (in person)

I wont got in to too much detail but the technical test centered around parsing inconsistent names within a csv file and the best way to handle these regarding php. The test was pretty ambigious to get you to tackle it in your own way.

It's as described on the website (which is a good sign), four stages - proper consistent communication at each stage - proper feedback - I was surprised by this because most companies are always 'overwhelmed' by the number of applicants and so never provide individualised feedback.
My favourite part of the interview was the third stage where I got the chance to discuss my thought process on my implementation of the take home test. It was also the stage that gave me the best chance to understand the priorities of the tech team and ensure they align with mine (yep, they did).

Why did you choose to write your take home test in vanilla PHP (OOP) rather than use Laravel?
