Within a few days, a recruiter reached out for a quick screening call to confirm my qualifications, availability, and salary expectations. Next, I had an online interview over Zoom with a school representative—they asked about my teaching experience, classroom management style, and how I’d handle different age groups. I was also given a short demo lesson topic (like teaching past tense verbs) and had to present a 10-minute mock lesson on the spot. A few days later, I had a follow-up interview with the school’s academic director, who asked more about my adaptability to living in China and how I’d handle cultural differences.

They called to set up an appointment after speaking with my recruiter at the time. There was supposed to be two interviews but they liked me and offered a contract.
